What to expect

A real session, not an audition

Tryouts are run like a Legends training session — small-sided games, technical work, and game-realistic problems. We’re watching for the player you’ll become.

Technical warm-up

Ball work, dribbling patterns, and quick combinations. Bring a ball, water, and shin guards.

Small-sided games

3v3 and 4v4 in tight spaces. We want to see how you handle pressure with the ball at your feet.

Full-game phases

Position-rotating play. Every player gets time in different roles — we evaluate decisions, not just outcomes.

How to register

Sign up for tryouts

Start with the official tryout sign-up form. After team placement, GotSport is where families complete club registration and required player paperwork.

  1. Complete the Google tryout form. This lets the club know your player plans to attend.
  2. Complete GotSport registration when invited. GotSport is used to register for the club, pay annual Missouri state soccer fees, upload a birth certificate, and allow the club to enter teams in leagues and tournaments.
  3. Watch for follow-up details. Schedules and account information can be confirmed through club communications, SportsEngine, and GotSport.

For parents

Why this matters beyond the scoreboard

A spot on a team is more than a season of games. Research has linked youth sports participation — especially for girls — to stronger school performance, self-confidence, and long-term outcomes.

Confidence & school
Student-athletes show stronger self-respect and school performance
~20%  ·  ~40%
Research cited by economist Betsey Stevenson has linked Title IX to roughly 20% of the rise in women’s education and ~40% of the rise in employment for women in their mid-20s to mid-30s.
Lifelong wins
A 10-point increase in high-school girls’ athletic participation has been associated with a 1-point rise in female college attendance and a 1.5-point rise in employment after school.

Figures summarized from research and reporting on Title IX and youth sports participation, including work by economist Betsey Stevenson cited in “Good For Girls” by Abigail Funk. Shared here as supporting context, not a club claim.
